MEET OUR LEADERSHIP

Jamie was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia. He grew up as a pastor’s kid with nine brothers and sisters and accepted Jesus at a young age. While attending Toccoa Falls College, he met his wife Tiffany, and they were married in 2004. They have 4 children: Hallie, Sophie, Tucker, and Evie. Jamie has an MDiv from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a DMin from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jamie has a passion to teach and preach God’s Word. Jamie enjoys time with his wife and children, as well as hunting, fishing, golfing, and watching Georgia football.

Steve earned his bachelor’s degree in Bible from Pensacola Christian College in 2005, where he first met his awesome wife, Erika. They were married that same year. He completed his Master of Divinity in 2009 from Luther Rice Seminary. Steve loves to minister to students at Berean and in our community through various ministries he is involved with. Steve also owns and operates the Church Insurance Man, an insurance agency that specializes in commercial insurance for churches and non-profits. He gets to spend his days meeting with Pastors and church leaders all across the state to discuss ministry. Steve lives near Walnut Grove with Erika and their four children – Jameson, Arianna, Brielle, and Amberly. He loves to hike, read, build fires, and do woodworking projects with his wife.

Thomas is a native of Brookhaven, Mississippi. He is married to Jennifer, his high school sweetheart, and the love of his life. They are the parents of three adult children and have three granddaughters.  While in high school Thomas excelled in athletics and especially football which earned him a scholarship to Jackson State University. He then went on to play football professionally with the Eagles, Lions and Vikings.  After retiring from the NFL, he became a business owner and worked in the corporate arena. During his rookie year with the Philadelphia Eagles Thomas came to faith in Christ while attending a bible study hosted by Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Since his conversion, he has felt the call of God to teach and share the gospel.  He has lead Sunday school classes, home bible fellowships, youth groups, and marriage groups. Thomas has a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Ministry from Moody Bible Institute with emphasis on Theology, Bible and Ministry. He enjoys sports, fishing, bowling, and reading.  The Strauthers currently reside in Monroe, GA.

Anthony was born in Thomasville, GA but raised in Pompano Beach, Florida where he spent most of his life. He now resides in Lawrenceville, GA with his wife, Rynn Thomas and their three daughters, Olivia, Ashleigh, and London. He attended Queens University in Charlotte, NC on a basketball scholarship where he studied philosophy and religion. Anthony is an ordained deacon and has served in this capacity for over 5 years. His musical expertise spans over 2 decades, but moreover, his passion and love for Christ is the driving force behind his worship stylings. In his spare time, Anthony enjoys playing basketball and having family time with his wife and daughters.

Jenny’s family was part of the launch team of Berean Bible Church in 2015. Born in Atlanta, GA and raised in Gwinnett County, this is home! She and her husband, Shawn, have four children, Carrigan, Weston, Nolan, and Benjamin. They love camping, fishing, hiking, biking, and finding new adventures. God gave her a heart for the nations and education while on short-term missions in Alaska, Taiwan, and China. Jenny has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s in Reading and Literacy. She has taught Kindergarten in Gwinnett County Public Schools, 4th and 5th grades at Bethlehem Christian Academy, and has been in children’s ministry for over 15 years. She has a passion to support families as they lead their children toward Christ and to help them build a strong spiritual foundation for the rest of their lives.

Cronan is originally from Monroe, Georgia and is married to his high school sweetheart, Theresa. After college they moved to Alabama where they worked and raised their two children. Cronan recently retired as president of Valley Rubber where he spent the last twenty years growing the business and developing ministry in the workplace. He was a member of First Bible Church (FBC) where he taught Sunday bible classes, discipled men, and led a variety of small groups. He served FBC as a deacon for five years and as an elder for the last eight years. Cronan and Theresa have moved back to Monroe where they are enjoying their three grandchildren and time with family while Cronan pursues a MA in Ministry Studies from Columbia International University.

Steve grew up in Forest Park and graduated from Georgia State University in 1977 with a degree in biology.  He and Donna married in 1976 and they moved to Fort Worth Texas where Steve graduated from Southwestern Seminary with an M. Div degree in 1980.  He also did doctoral studies at Fuller Seminary and Reformed Seminary in Orlando, FL.  Steve served as a pastor in full-time ministry for 46 years and as an interim pastor for the past two years.  Steve and Donna have two grown children and seven grandchildren.  Steve has a passion to see believers grow up into spiritual parents and then watch the process of discipleship be multiplied over and over.   Steve loves spending time with Donna, his kids, and grandkids, as well as being a Braves fan, GT fan, and doing handyman projects.  He has also been known to pick up a golf club now and then.
